Carolina Panthers Reason No. 3: Team culture

Another thing that would benefit Josh Gordon if he landed on the Carolina Panthers is the lack of expectations on him to produce the goods initially. The team has three outstanding weapons in D.J. Moore, Robby Anderson, and Curtis Samuel. So this would allow the player to come in and learn at his own pace in a bid to rid himself of recent problems.

New head coach Matt Rhule has been a keen supporter of his players in the current climate. This is something that has gone down extremely well and could be the arm over the shoulder that Gordon needs to maximize his chances of finally living up to his potential.

There has been a tremendous culture shift in Carolina over a short space of time. Whether Gordon fits into this particular way of thinking would ultimately be down to the player. But there is little question he would be welcomed with open arms.

Carolina might decide that Gordon is a risk not worth taking. Any deal will be for the veterans’ minimum. And anything more would have to be earned by the receiver on and off the field.

Gordon has a lot of making up to do. And as stated previously, he might already be out of chances. But if the Panthers were to make this eye-catching move in a bid to improve their fortunes, then he would be walking into an immensely positive environment.
