Carolina Panthers No. 2: Joe Brady (OC)

One of the most important additions to the Carolina Panthers was the appointment of Joe Brady as their new offensive coordinator. The former LSU passing guru will now get the chance to make his mark in the NFL. And this hire has the potential to transform the fortunes of the franchise.

Brady was the key component behind the Tigers’ exceptional passing attack in 2019. This played a leading role in them winning the National Championship. And it also saw quarterback Joe Burrow go from a mid-round prospect who was largely unfancied to the consensus No. 1 overall pick.

If the coach can do the same with Carolina’s talented weapons, then it could be a real turning point for the organization. Brady has already worked with Teddy Bridgewater during their time together with the New Orleans Saints. So it would be a huge surprise if the pair didn’t hit the ground running.

This is the first step en route to a possible head coaching job in the future for Brady. But if he shows no particular willingness to make this step up, then the Panthers could very well offer him a lengthy extension if he makes the sort of impact expected in 2020.

Their defense might go into the campaign with plenty of questions to answer. But Carolina’s offense can give each member of the team’s fanbase plenty of excitement.

They have the potential to put up some serious numbers under Brady. And there is no doubt that the Panthers’ offense is going to be incredibly fun to watch if their protection holds up.
