4 Carolina Panthers who could benefit from Patrick Mahomes deal

Carolina Panthers Player No. 2: Donte Jackson (CB)
Opportunity awaits Donte Jackson in no uncertain terms next season. The talented cornerback goes into 2020 as the No. 1 option for the Carolina Panthers. And this is something he has worked hard to attain since entering the league.
If Jackson can get rid of the need to make rash decisions on the field. Then there is every chance he is going to succeed in a more prominent starting role.
Jackson is a fluid runner that has no trouble matching opposing wide receivers down the field. So it would be a surprise if the player failed to make the most out of this opening.

He will be going up against so of the most gifted wideouts in the NFL. And that is just what Jackson is set to face in the NFC South.
The likes of Michael Thomas, Julio Jones, Mike Evans, and Chris Godwin will make things extremely difficult for even the best shutdown corners in the league. But if Jackson can emerge from the season with promise then he will have some solid production to back up whatever the player demands financially from an extension.
The final year of Jackson’s deal in 2021 will see the corner make just $1.1 million in base salary. So he will want more security before he steps on the field next year.
A strong 2020 will put him in a commanding position regarding contract talks. And the Panthers will not want a similar situation that eventually ended with James Bradberry departing in free agency.
