Carolina Panthers Player No. 4: Pharoh Cooper (WR/KR)

The Carolina Panthers look absolutely loaded at the wide receiver position heading into the season. They have a top-three that has the potential to be up there with any other NFL trio in terms of production. And plenty of other talented wideouts will also be looking to make their presence felt in a different environment.

One such player is Pharoh Cooper, who enjoyed a career year with the Arizona Cardinals in 2019. He has an incredible skill set and is an electrifying prospect with the ball in his hands.

Cooper can impact the game in many different ways. He is more than capable on the outside or in the slot, could also make plays as a running back, and he is a forced to be reckoned with in the return game.

There is some fierce competition for targets in Carolina next season. And how Cooper gets on during training camp is going to be pivotal for his overall chances.

Offensive coordinator Joe Brady is probably already thinking up plays where he can make the most out of his outstanding elusiveness. But all this will be dependent on the player making an instant impression.

If Cooper can do this, then his potential in Brady’s scheme is high. There is a real possibility he can be the Panthers’ secret weapon on offense. And this might also be the catalyst behind the former South Carolina sensation getting a longer-term commitment from the franchise.

Cooper elevated his yards per catch average to 17.9 during his two seasons in Arizona, including 18.9 in 2019. If he can bring this sort of form to a new environment, then the sky is the limit.
