3 Panthers who could get slapped with the bust label in 2020

Carolina Panthers Player No. 1: Jordan Scarlett (RB)
The Carolina Panthers have their star running back Christian McCaffrey locked up for the foreseeable future. The All-Pro is going to be the focal point of the offense going forward. And that leaves those behind him on the depth chart fighting for opportunities.
One such player is Jordan Scarlett, who was the Panthers’ fifth-round pick in 2019. He was used sparingly during his rookie campaign. And it remains to be seen just what sort of impact he is going to have as a sophomore.
Scarlett managed just a 2.3 yards-per-carry average from nine touches last season. He faces a real fight to make his presence felt in 2020. But one expects that Reggie Bonnafon might make the No. 2 spot his own after making a significant impression when called upon.
This would leave Scarlett on the outside looking in. And if he fails to make any sort of an impact once again next time around. It would appear unlikely that the back will be able to forge a successful career with the Panthers.
The Florida product came into the NFL with two good years of college production under his belt. He has found things tough going so far. But Scarlett now has the chance to impress a completely different coaching staff on a clean slate.
He will need to make the next few weeks during the upcoming training camp count. And his career in Carolina probably depends on it.
