3 Panthers who could get slapped with the bust label in 2020

Carolina Panthers Player No. 3: Dennis Daley (OL)
Dennis Daley went through his fair share of rookie problems in 2019. The former sixth-round pick was thrust into a starting position way before he was ready. And unfortunately for the offensive lineman, he found out the hard way just what it takes to make it at the next level.
Daley gave up seven sacks and four penalties from 686 snaps last season. This was a steep learning curve for the player without question. But it remains to be seen whether or not he will be able to benefit from such a difficult experience.
Carolina has the option of moving Daley into one of the guard spots given his size and strength. They do have free-agent duo John Miller and Michael Schofield who come with more experience. So there is a real possibility that the second-year-pro is taken out of the firing line altogether.
Should Daley earn a starting role and fail to show signs of promise next season, then it won’t take the Panthers long to move on from the player. The new regime has no emotional ties to him. And the former South Carolina standout won’t cost much in the way of dead cap money if the decision-makers opt to cut their losses.
The player does have some likable traits to bring his game up a couple of notches. Confidence will be something to keep a keen eye on regarding Daley. And the player will need to show the right sort of character to bounce back.
