Carolina Panthers Player No. 2: D.J. Moore (WR)

It doesn’t take a genius to figure out that D.J. Moore is destined for great things. The wide receiver is clearly destined for superstardom. And this might come in 2020 with a more consistent quarterback distributing the football in the form of Teddy Bridgewater.

The fact Moore gained 87 receptions for 1,175 receiving yards and four touchdowns last season with an injured Cam Newton, Kyle Allen, and Will Grier under center was remarkable. And this leaves the Panthers in no doubt that they have found their No. 1 wideout for the considerable future.

Moore is sure to be included in the NFL Network’s Top-100 players going into next season. He has a rare ability to make plays all over the field. And his exceptional route running defies his tender years.

Given how many weapons that Carolina has at its disposal in 2020. It is hard to argue that Moore is not set to take another giant leap forward. Third-year players always have that added incentive in regards to a new deal if they put up big numbers. And even though the Panthers do have their fifth-year option to exercise for their 2018 first-round pick. They might just decide that the receiver is worth a longer-term commitment.

The sky is the limit for Moore. He has gone from strength-to-strength and given the Panthers some outstanding production during difficult times. And with new offensive coordinator Joe Brady now pulling the strings, the player could be one of the main beneficiaries.
