Carolina Panthers: 3 trade targets from the Las Vegas Raiders

Carolina Panthers trade target No. 3: Kolton Miller (OT)
The jury is still out on Raiders’ offensive tackle Kolton Miller. He came into the NFL as the No. 15 overall pick. But he has struggled to live up to this billing so far.
There is a lot to like about the sort of physical attributes that Miller brings to the table. He is an imposing figure at 6-foot-9 that is surprisingly quick-footed for a man his size.
While his ability to recover on the edge still needs some work. But it would be a huge surprise of Miller did not emerge as a capable starter in the coming years.
If he continues to regress next season, then the Raiders might be forced to move on from the player. This would see a window of opportunity open for the Panthers, who have protection questions of their own heading into the season.
Russell Okung’s $13 million is coming off the books in 2021. And the organization should use this money to reach a longer-term commitment with Taylor Moton. This would still leave a gap at one of the tackles spots. And someone like Miller could come in and possibly be an upgrade if the lineman reaches his ceiling.
Miller gave up seven sacks and four penalties from 1,019 snaps last season on his way to a modest 64.9 grade from Pro Football Focus. This was a stark contrast from the 16 sacks he allowed as a rookie. But the Raiders are renowned for being a ruthless organization that isn’t scared of moving on from high-end picks who aren’t delivering the goods.
