Which remaining players on the free-agent market could come in and start straight away for the Carolina Panthers in 2020?

The Carolina Panthers have laid some good foundations in their pursuit of mounting a postseason challenge in the near future. New head coach Matt Rhule wasted no time in making his mark on the organization. And he has parted ways with a wealth of veteran players to replace them with younger, more energetic individuals.

Things might get worse before they get better with the Panthers. But it will be vital that this group comes together quickly and make themselves an attractive destination for players looking for a new challenge in 2021.

They have worked wonders despite their salary cap restrictions this offseason. The Panthers have a little more than $11 million to work with currently. But the front office has signed just one of its 2020 NFL Draft class.

This is a situation that is expected to change in the lead-up to training camp later this month. And this could leave them with enough financial resources to bring in another player that could be a plug and play starter next season.

A number of enticing options remain on the free-agent scrapheap, which is somewhat unusual so late in the offseason. If Carolina can further strengthen areas of need. It is going to give them an improved chance of proving doubters wrong on a tough-looking schedule that includes two Super Bowl contenders in the NFC South.

Here are three players on the free-agent market that are more than capable of starting in their week one opener against the Las Vegas Raiders.
