Carolina Panthers rookie No. 2: Kenny Robinson (S)
To say that Kenny Robinson took an unusual route to the NFL would be something of an understatement. The player was ousted from West Virginia before the 2019 season for a student code of conduct violation relating to academic fraud. And this left his ambitions of making it to the next level in significant doubt.
Robinson eventually made his way to the XFL, which proved to be a shrewd move. The safety showcased his immense skill set before the league disbanded due to the current climate. And he accumulated enough solid film for the Carolina Panthers to take him with their fifth-round pick.
Although there won’t be any immediate pressure on Robinson to earn a starting job right away. He will still be entering training camp with a big chip on his shoulder. Character concerns probably cost the player millions in terms of how high he was drafted. And this added motivation might be enough to see him take his game to a new level.

Robinson is a tremendous athlete that might be a little rough around the edges. But it is hard not to like the sort of athleticism he brings to the table.
Areas of his game that need work can seemingly be coached up if the player shows willing. And his experience in a professional environment is something else that will stand him in good stead.
