Which Carolina Panthers head into training camp later this week with the most to prove?

The Carolina Panthers are making their long-awaited return to training camp this week. Rookies showed up for their first taste of face-to-face team activities on Tuesday. And they will be swiftly followed by senior roster members in the coming days.

This is the first chance that new head coach Matt Rhule will get to see what he will be working with. The Panthers haven’t been able to take the field so far this offseason due to the current climate. And although things will look far different from normal training camps, it should still be invaluable preparation ahead of the new season.

With no preseason games now on the schedule before their week one clash against the Las Vegas Raiders, it is arguably the most important camp in recent memory. Players will have little time to build cohesion before competitive action gets underway. And given the substantial changes that the Panthers have gone through in recent months. It has the potential to impact them more than most.

There will be members of the roster who go into training camp with their places secure. And others face a critical few weeks as they look to secure a prominent role with the organization.

Players with a point to prove will need to show what they are capable of. And everyone has a clean slate with a revamped coaching staff.

Here are four Panthers who could have the most to prove when they make their return to the field.
