5 Carolina Panthers under-threat who should survive early cuts

Carolina Panthers Player No. 3: Branden Bowen (OL)
The Carolina Panthers might have a real steal on their hands with Branden Bowen. The former Ohio State standout comes into the NFL with plenty of questions surrounding his longevity. But there is no doubting the incredible potential he brings to the table.
Bowen went undrafted despite a standout spell with the Buckeyes in 2019. This has a lot to do with the offensive lineman missing the entire 2018 campaign with a serious leg break suffered halfway through 2017.

He worked exceptionally hard to recover from this. And he even won the right tackle starting job ahead of the highly touted Nicholas Petit-Frere. Not only did Bowen end up starting during his final college season. But he performed to a very high standard.
His intelligence and ability to communicate under pressure are traits that really set him apart. Bowen is an imposing figure at 6-foot-7. And he could be the development prospect that the Panthers are looking for behind their starting core.
Carolina’s offensive line is projected to be a weak link to their offense. Big changes took place during the offseason. And it remains to be seen whether this new group can hit the ground running with little time to get themselves ready.
Bowen might be one that finds his spot under threat. But with a relative lack of depth at the position. The Panthers might end up gambling on his ability instead of being more cautious regarding his injury history.
