Which members of the Carolina Panthers could be classed as underhyped heading into the 2020 season?

It promises to be a 2020 season full of twists and turns for the Carolina Panthers. They go into the campaign with a new coaching staff that is devoid of any experience in the NFL. And their revamped roster will be learning on the job with little time to prepare thanks to the current climate.

Whether the season plays out as Carolina Panthers head coach Matt Rhule expects is up for debate. His strong reputation for building up struggling college programs might have contributed to the former Baylor man getting a shot at the next level. But this is something that doesn’t guarantee a smooth transition to the pros.

They will need to overcome a daunting schedule. And realistically speaking, any success the team can pick up will stand them in good stead ahead of another pivotal offseason period in 2021.

Plenty of players go into the season with lofty expectations on their shoulders. The likes of Christian McCaffrey, Teddy Bridgewater, and D.J. Moore will be expected to lead from the front on offense. And the defensive spine of Kawann Short, Shaq Thompson, and Tre Boston will also need to make a telling contribution.

There are other players on the roster who go into the season with the potential to become difference-makers, even though they could be classed as underhyped. These sorts of individuals are crucial to the achievements of any NFL team. And the Panthers will need this more than most if they want to prove the doubters wrong in 2020.

Here are four underhyped members of the Carolina Panthers who could have a big say next season.
