Panthers: 5 toughest matchups for Donte Jackson outside NFC South
By Dean Jones
Carolina Panthers No. 5: Kenny Golladay (WR) – Detroit Lions
Kenny Golladay is ready to enter the elite status in 2020. The wide receiver is coming off back-to-back 1,000-yard seasons. And his potential is limitless regarding just how much he can improve going forward.
The Detroit Lions have a potent wideout tandem in Golladay and Marvin Jones. But the former is now the clear No. 1 option and will command Donte Jackson’s full attention when the Carolina Panthers take them on during the season.

Golladay is a matchup nightmare for most cornerbacks. He is a big target at 6-foot-4 who has the speed to blow past the opposition at will. And his ability to catch the ball at its highest point is something that really sets him apart.
The former third-round pick earned a 79.9 grade from Pro Football Focus in 2019 after grabbing 65 balls from 113 targets thrown his way. This saw Golladay accumulate 1,190 receiving yards and a career-high 11 touchdowns.
This represents outstanding production from a player that has only been in the NFL for three seasons. Golladay is sure to go from strength-to-strength in the coming years. And Jackson is going to get all he can handle from the receiver next season.
It is hard to look the other way regarding Golladay’s talent. He also has a gunslinging quarterback distributing the ball in Matthew Stafford, so the sky is the limit for the Nebraska product.
