Panthers: 5 toughest matchups for Donte Jackson outside NFC South
By Dean Jones
Carolina Panthers No. 3: Davante Adams (WR) – Green Bay Packers
Davante Adams has been one of the NFL’s most consistent performers at wide receiver for a number of years. He has developed incredible chemistry with Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers. And this is a trend that will need to continue in 2020 if the signal-caller wants to prolong his career with the organization following their acquisition of first-round pick Jordan Love.
This will be a stern test of Jackson’s credentials. And the Carolina Panthers might not have too much to play for by the time they face Adams and the Packers.

Little is expected of the team for numerous reasons next season. But their No. 1 cornerback will still need to show a level of consistency in order to leave no doubt regarding his aspirations going forward.
Adams is as accomplished a route runner as you are likely to find. He is physical on the line of scrimmage in press coverage. And he also has the necessary speed to stretch the field against a zone scheme.
There are few wideouts in the NFL that boast the sort of skill set that Adams brings to the table. His 83.5 grade from Pro Football Focus in 2019 is a further indicator of this. And his career stats now stand at 431 receptions, 5,194 yards, 44 touchdowns, and 253 first downs.
With little else on the Packers’ depth chart for Rodgers to utilize. It should be another busy campaign for the former second-round selection out of Fresno State.
