Panthers: 5 toughest matchups for Donte Jackson outside NFC South

Carolina Panthers No. 2: Tyreek Hill (WR) – Kansas City Chiefs

There isn’t much that Tyreek Hill cannot do on a football field. The Kansas City Chiefs wide receiver was at the top of his game during their Super Bowl run down the stretch. And there is little danger of the player dropping off anytime soon.

This is the most daunting game on the Carolina Panthers schedule in 2020. And Donte Jackson is going to have his work but out trying to limit Hill’s influence on proceedings.

The cornerback is one of the only players in the NFL that could keep up with the wideout from a speed perspective. But he brings so much more to the field other than game-changing pace.

Hill is incredibly elusive, and his low center of gravity makes him a nightmare to bring down in open space. It does help that Patrick Mahomes is getting the football to him consistently. But the former fifth-round pick would be able to make a difference no matter who was playing quarterback.

Jackson will need to be at his best against Hill. And even that might not be enough. It is incredibly hard to keep the receiver contained for an entire contest. So it will simply be a case of damage limitation overall for the Panthers against the titleholders.

Hill looks set for another big year next season. And this is going to add to the 281 receptions, 4,115 yards, 32 touchdowns, and 179 first downs during an exceptional four-year professional career so far.
