What are some of the big questions surrounding the wide receiver group as the Carolina Panthers make their return to training camp?
There might not be much in the way of expectations surrounding the Carolina Panthers in 2020. But this is not something that applies to their wide receiver group.
This is an area of real strength on the Carolina Panthers. And it is something that offensive coordinator Joe Brady and quarterback Teddy Bridgewater must take full advantage of to give them the best possible chance of achieving any sort of success.
New head coach Matt Rhule has assembled plenty of notable weapons who will be relied upon heavily next season. The Panthers’ offensive group was ranked No. 5 overall by ESPN in a recent feature. And this is a further indication of just how potent this area of the field could be in Carolina.
They do have plenty of questions to answer elsewhere, most notably with their offensive line and on defense. But it is hard to see how this offensive group is not going to put significant points up whatever the standard of opposition.
The Panthers finally made their return to training camp on Tuesday for initial testing following an unprecedented offseason of disruption in the current climate. How this group comes together in a short space of time will ultimately determine their fortunes. Although there is just no telling if the NFL season will come to a successful conclusion as concerns surrounding the pandemic continue to remain.
It promises to be an interesting few weeks to come before the season is scheduled to begin. And here are four questions for the Panthers at wide receiver heading into camp.
