Carolina Panthers Question No. 1: Can D.J. Moore enter the elite discussion?
D.J. Moore has a very big future in the NFL. The former first-round pick enjoyed a breakout season in 2019. And what he achieved in the face of inept quarterback play was nothing short of extraordinary.
The wide receiver reached the 1,000-yard milestone in only his second season as a professional. And there appears little doubt that another strong showing might see Moore entire the elite discussion in 2020.

He is a polished route runner that has the speed to go down the field with ease. But his intelligence over intermediate routes is another standout feature to his game that is sure to benefit Teddy Bridgewater an endless amount.
With notoriety comes extra attention from opposing defenses. But this is something Moore experienced some of in 2019 on his way to 87 receptions from 135 targets, 1,175 receiving yards, and four touchdowns.
This earned him an impressive 82.3 grade from Pro Football Focus. And the Maryland product has the world at his feet entering a crucial third year at the next level.
This is normally the time where players make bigger strides with more experience under their belts. Moore is going to benefit considerably from other weapons around him also commanding attention. And the sky is the limit for him if the wideout reaches his potential.
Another strong showing in 2020 would bring some financial reward. The Carolina Panthers will pick up his fifth-year option. But a longer-term commitment might also be in the offing if he can become a truly elite receiver next time around.
