Carolina Panthers: 5 players who need a full season in 2020

Carolina Panthers Player No. 1: Donte Jackson (CB)
The Carolina Panthers have placed a tremendous amount of faith in Donte Jackson this offseason. They opted not to extend their No. 1 cornerback option, James Bradberry. And the former second-round pick will now be tasked with filling the void.
There is nothing to suggest that Jackson is not more than capable of doing this. He is a supremely gifted athlete with plenty of speed at his disposal. And if he can improve decision-making in crucial situations, then it should ensure a smooth transition to a more prominent role.

The Panthers will be counting on Jackson to hold his own against some of the NFL’s most dynamic wide receivers next time around. This is a step into the unknown for the LSU product. But he has two years of good experience under his belt as he gets set for another significant challenge in 2020.
Jackson would be one of those players who are hoping the season can last for the duration. This would give him a prolonged platform to prove he is a corner with shutdown potential. And the experience of covering some of the most feared wideouts in the game is something that is sure to boost his overall development considerably.
The defensive back is also looking for a lucrative new deal in the not-too-distant future. So not having the chance to prove his worth as the Panthers’ best option at the position will harm his pursuit of securing top dollar.
