Which members of the Carolina Panthers could emerge as major contributors in 2020?

A new era for the Carolina Panthers officially begins in just a few short weeks. The organization is finally back at training camp following a disrupted offseason period that will live long in the memory. And the roster is almost unrecognizable from the one that finished the 2019 campaign.

New head coach Matt Rhule wasted no time stamping his authority on the Carolina Panthers. He has been given the keys to the kingdom in no uncertain terms. But whether this comes with immediate success is another matter entirely.

There doesn’t seem to be much in the way of starting experience over a prolonged period at the professional level on the Panthers’ roster. This is down in no small part to the front office getting rid of the majority of veteran players following the season.

Although this is probably beneficial for the organization long-term. It remains unclear as to whether this is going to bring around a quick turnaround in fortunes.

It promises to be an immensely intriguing situation in Carolina next season. And a fresh start could see some surprising figures emerge as major contributors if given the opportunity.

Much will depend on how these hopefuls impress a coaching staff that hasn’t seen them compete in the flesh before. But if they can showcase enough to earn prominent roles on the roster. Then it could be highly beneficial for them and the Panthers.

Here are four players that might not be expected to make an immediate impact. But they have the potential to contribute significantly as the campaign goes on.
