Our first mock simulator of the year predicts that three Clemson players will be selected by the Carolina Panthers in the 2021 NFL Draft.

The Carolina Panthers ended up having an all-defense NFL Draft in 2020. This might not have been their intentions heading into the event. But it was hard to deny that this has bolstered their depth considerably across the board.

This was a promising start to their rebuild under new head coach Matt Rhule. But another strong series of selections will be needed in 2021 if the Carolina Panthers want to become a contender sooner rather than later.

Whether there will be any college football this year is still up in the air. Players from different conferences are coming together to express their concerns regarding safety. And some programs have suspended team activities for the entire season as COVID-19 cases continue to rise across the country.

Some prominent prospects have already decided to sit out the campaign and turn their attention to preparing for the evaluation process next spring. Many more could follow the likes of Micah Parsons and Gregory Rousseau in the coming weeks. And this has the potential to significantly impact the Panthers’ plans regarding a player of interest.

Carolina is expected to have another high-end pick in 2021 if preseason predictions come to fruition. The Draft Network projects them at No. 4 in their mock simulator. And we had the first go of their sim this year to see which way the Panthers might go in this scenario.
