Tre Boston could be in line for a big season with the Carolina Panthers, and here are three realistic goals for the safety in 2020.

We are only 33 days away from the Carolina Panthers making their return to the field for their Week 1 opener against the Las Vegas Raiders. Getting back down to business will be a welcome boost for the entire nation. And hopefully, things can continue to proceed as planned for the NFL.

This is one of the more intriguing campaigns in recent memory for the Carolina Panthers. It is the start of a new era for the franchise after wholesale changes across the organization. And it will be intriguing to see if there will be any immediate signs of life following an offseason period littered with disruption.

New Head coach Matt Rhule will need his senior players to step up to the plate in no uncertain terms. Their roster is one of the NFL’s youngest after Carolina parted ways with several prominent locker room leaders.  And others will now need to step up and fill the void.

Continuing our countdown feature ahead of the new season, we now turn our attention to Carolina’s No. 33. Tre Boston made the most out of his second opportunity with the Panthers in 2019. But more will be expected of the player next time around.

His exceptional performances earned him a three-year, $18 million contract extension with an $8 million signing bonus and a further $8 million guaranteed. This was well-deserved for Boston, who came up big in crucial situations on his way to a 76.4 grade from Pro Football Focus.

There is nothing to suggest that Boston cannot make further strides in 2020. And here are three realistic goals for the safety to target next season.
