Top 5 Carolina Panthers that nobody talks about

Carolina Panthers Player No. 2: Ian Thomas – TE
The Carolina Panthers have plenty of exciting offensive weapons to call upon in 2020. Stars like Christian McCaffrey and D.J. Moore go into the campaign with plenty of expectations. And others such as Curtis Samuel and Robby Anderson could also make their presence felt in Joe Brady’s dynamic scheme.
Ian Thomas is someone who has been tipped to be a breakout candidate by some. But compared to other roster members on offense. Nobody is talking about just what a positive impact he could have on this team next season.
Filling the void left by prolific veteran Greg Olsen will not be easy. The tight end produced consistently throughout his time with the Panthers. And his assured presence across the middle and in the red zone leaves enormous shoes to fill.
The Panthers have placed a significant amount of faith in Thomas in recent months. They did not bring anyone of note to compete for the No. 1 position either in free agency or the NFL Draft. And this vote of confidence is something that can propel the former Indiana standout to heights not seen before.
He will need to cut out the errors that blighted his sophomore campaign. But there is nothing to suggest this cannot be fixed with more prolonged playing time.
Thomas is the least talked about offensive player on the Panthers’ starting rotation. But this might not be the case for much longer.
