Carolina Panthers Player No. 1: Taylor Moton – OT

Standout offensive tackle Taylor Moton is finally getting the recognition he deserves. But in terms of his overall standing with the Carolina Panthers. He is hardly ever spoken about in the way he should be.

Moton has provided some exceptional protection at right tackle over the last two seasons. And the level of development he showed in 2019 was highly encouraging.

This has seen the player emerge as one of the NFL’s brightest young protectors. And there is plenty to suggest that Moton can be even more dominant in the coming months with even more experience under his belt.

This is a big year in more ways than one for Moton. He is heading into the final year of his rookie deal and is set to land a huge payday next spring either with the Panthers or elsewhere.

Carolina would be wise not to lose a player of such importance. And they do have the option of putting the franchise tag on the lineman if an agreement cannot be reached by the time he is set to hit the free-agent market.

Moton is another player that Carolina struck gold with from the draft. He has all the makings of a premier lineman for the foreseeable future. And switching him over to left tackle down the road could also be of huge benefit to the player and the franchise.
