Carolina Panthers camp: 4 offensive players on the roster bubble

Carolina Panthers Player No. 2: Temmarick Hemingway – TE
There does appear to be a window of opportunity for a player to take the No. 2 tight end spot behind Ian Thomas. But the Carolina Panthers look set to bring in further reinforcements at the position. And this spells trouble for the likes of Temmarick Hemingway.
Andrew Vollert was scheduled to have a workout with the Panthers after his release by the Los Angeles Chargers that was featured heavily on Hard Knocks. And if the player catches the eye of the coaching staff, then it could mean someone else is out of luck.
Hemingway has been a journeyman during his professional career. And he has found life difficult making a 53-man roster. The player appears to be running out of chances to forge a path in the NFL. And getting cut this time around would represent a hammer blow.
Younger players such as Cam Sutton and Giovanni Ricci would also be in the firing line if the Panthers decided to bring Vollert on board. But their potential for development is more than Hemingway’s at this juncture.
This might leave the former South Carolina State star on the outside looking in. And Hemingway might find himself on the chopping block sooner rather than later.
