Carolina Panthers Player No. 4: DeAndrew White – WR

The Carolina Panthers have plenty of strength in depth in their wide receiver room. There is an embarrassment of riches for offensive coordinator and quarterback Teddy Bridgewater to utilize in 2020. And their top-three options are as good as anything in the NFL.

Some tough decisions will be made in the coming weeks regarding those looking for playing time behind D.J. Moore, Robby Anderson, and Curtis Samuel. One player right on the bubble from the outside looking in is DeAndrew White, who looks to have more on his plate than most to make the 53-man roster.

White proved to be an asset in the return game in 2019. But his time in the rotation was limited. The Panthers brought in Pharoh Cooper during free agency. And it would be a huge surprise if the former Arizona Cardinal did not take over this responsibility.

This is a further blow to White’s chances of being around when competitive action gets underway. He did manage to survive the first set of cuts. But no preseason games will further hamper his attempts.

White has made recorded just seven receptions from 18 targets over a three-year career in the league. He is one of the primary candidates to be disposed of before Carolina gets down to business. And it will need an exceptional showing at camp to surge up the depth chart.
