T.J. Green – DB

While T.J. Green might have some likable traits to call upon. Not much has been made of his performances at training camp with the Carolina Panthers so far.

This might indicate he is going under the radar somewhat. Or it could be due to the fact that the coaching staff has not exactly been impressed with the sort of impact he has made to date.

Green faces a real fight for a spot on the rotation. His versatility to play at cornerback or secondary will stand him in good stead. But the Carolina Panthers brought a tremendous amount of athleticism into the franchise during free agency and the NFL Draft that might be more favorable going forward.

The likes of Jeremy Chinn, Kenny Robinson, and Troy Pride Jr. are all intriguing college recruits who have the capability of making an immediate impression. And talented safety Juston Burris also looks to be in a commanding spot on the depth chart ahead of Green.

This might leave the player on the outside looking in when the final roster cuts are made. Green has failed to deliver on his promise as a second-round pick. And another failed opportunity could result in teams giving up on his skill set altogether.

Nothing is guaranteed at this stage. But it appears evident Green’s head might be on the chopping block sooner rather than later.
