One area of the Carolina Panthers roster that looks especially strong is their options at wide receiver. They have a key trio in D.J. Moore, Robby Anderson, and Curtis Samuel leading the way. And a host of other talented individuals will also be making a strong bid for targets in 2020.

Ishmael Hyman was a free-agent arrival to the Panthers on a one-year deal that will be worth $610,000 to the player if he makes the roster. This is going to be easier said than done. And the wideout has his back against the wall thanks to the emergence of two receivers over the last week at training camp.

Undrafted free-agent Omar Bayless is someone who has really caught the eye at camp so far. He came into the NFL after being one of college football’s most prolific performers at Arkansas State. And he has continued this positive momentum at the next level.

Jeremy Chinn, Matt Rhule, and others have publically spoken on the impact made by Bayless. And this could propel the unfancied prospect up the depth in no time at all.

The skills that Pharoh Cooper brings to the table have also been there for all to see. His deep catch off a Will Grier bomb during the first session in front of the media was just one indication of what the former Arizona Cardinal can bring to the organization. And he is also set to offer a significant amount in the return game.

Carolina also brought in Tommylee Lewis and Marken Michel to further boost their options. And this could be another indication that Hyman’s days are numbered with the Panthers.
