3 reasons QB Justin Fields is a great fit for the Carolina Panthers

Leadership
Justin Fields has emerged as one of college football’s true leaders this offseason. He has been at the forefront of a player moment that wants the option of playing in 2020 despite the Big Ten canceling the season amid COVID-19 concerns. And this is something that will undoubtedly impress scouts at the next level.
It would be easy for a high-end draft prospect such as Fields to hide. Plenty of prospects have already opted out to concentrate on their individual preparations for the 2021 NFL Draft. But the signal-caller is putting others’ needs before his own.
This is the hallmark of every outstanding leader. And Fields has generated a significant amount of momentum regarding a petition set-up to reinstate his final college season schedule in the coming months.
Fields could probably do with another season in the college system before entering the NFL. But the current climate might dictate that this is not possible. This might be of benefit to a team like the Carolina Panthers, who do not have an out with Teddy Bridgewater’s deal until 2022.
If they eventually selected Fields, they could put him as their primary backup and allow him to develop at his own pace. It would also give Bridgewater a short platform to prove his capabilities if he is eventually moved on in favor of the Buckeye.
The potential regarding the player is limitless. And while Carolina’s fanbase will be clamoring for the organization to select Clemson star Trevor Lawrence, there is every chance that Fields could go on to have a better career.
