3 possible Panthers trade targets from the New York Giants
By Dean Jones
Evan Engram – TE
Evan Engram might have had trouble staying on the field over the last two seasons. But when the tight is firing on all cylinders, he is one of the NFL’s brightest young prospects at the position.
His time in the league has been largely frustrating after being selected No. 23 overall by the New York Giants in 2017. Engram made a big impression as a rookie, notching 64 receptions, 722 yards, and six touchdowns. But the former Mississippi star has been unable to build on this thanks to a series of niggling problems.

Engram started just eight games for the Giants in 2018 on his way to 45 receptions, 572 yards, and three touchdowns. This decreased to six starting appearances last season as the injury curse struck him again.
The Giants will be hoping these problems are now behind him. Engram is now back at full health after lengthy recovery time this offseason. And he is a possible breakout candidate providing the player stays on the field.
If Engram continues to prove unreliable due to health concerns. Then New York might decide to cut their losses.
The Carolina Panthers could be in the market for a tight end next year if their current No. 1 option Ian Thomas fails to make the most out of this outstanding opportunity. And although the price would probably be steep, it would be a tremendous addition to the organization.
