Christian McCaffrey

One thing that the Carolina Panthers can depend on in no uncertain terms in 2020 is Christian McCaffrey. The star running back is the NFL’s best dual-threat player at the position. And his first three years in the league have been extraordinary.

The Panthers were forced to rely on McCaffrey heavily in 2019. This was a responsibility that he took extremely seriously. And it resulted in the former Stanford prospect putting together a historic campaign.

McCaffrey became the third player in NFL history to secure more than 1,000-yards rushing and receiving in the same season. This earned the player a First-Team All-Pro selection, an 86.6 grade from Pro Football Focus, and a lucrative extension that will keep him in Carolina for his prime years.

He is the new face of the franchise following the offseason departure of Cam Newton. Although opposing defenses will focus their attention primarily on McCaffrey once again. There is nothing to suggest he will take a backward step despite plenty of concerns surrounding the Panthers’ offensive line.

McCaffrey is everything you look for in a premier running back. He is durable, dynamic, capable of carrying the load, and is a threat to score every time he touches the ball.

All these components make McCaffrey the best in the business. Even though he might not get more than 400 combined touches again in 2020. He is going to be the focal point of the offense for as long as he is still performing at an elite level.
