Where will Jeremy Chinn be used?

One of the more intriguing players on the Carolina Panthers in 2020 is Jeremy Chinn. The versatile prospect can operate almost anywhere other than the defensive line. And although this is something rare to have. It does leave coordinator Phil Snow is something of a predicament regarding just where the utilize the Southern Illinois product.

The Panthers clearly think a lot of Chinn. They traded back into the second round to snag the prospect during the 2020 NFL Draft. And the rookie has already made his intentions of being a defensive weapon rather than tied down to safety abundantly clear.

Chinn specialized at the safety position in college. And it might be more prudent for the Panthers to use him here initially with no preseason games to figure out the best way to get the most out of his superb athletic traits.

This is probably a progressive situation regarding Chinn and one that will change as the campaign progresses. It might be a problem to have. But it is undoubtedly a nice one.
