T.J. Green making his presence felt

Another who has played a significant part during recent training camp drills is T.J. Green. The versatile defensive back has been making his presence felt at cornerback in recent days. And this is another big indication of him earning a prominent role with the Carolina Panthers in 2020.

Green has always had a likable skill set. Putting it all together has been a problem for him at times during his career. But his size and speed are something that could really be of use against some tough-looking passing attacks on the Panthers’ schedule.

The player has spent time working with the starting unit and has more than held his own. Green will almost surely make the 53-man roster if keeps up this level down the stretch at camp. And this would be seen as something as a shock to some who questioned what he could bring to the organization.

There is a real opportunity for someone to come in and become the No. 2 starting option behind Donte Jackson. Green is now a surprising candidate for this role following a strong showing. And his efforts so far should result in a place on the rotation, at the very least.

Green also has the ability to play at safety if needed. But his chances of starting here appear slim thanks to the big impressions made by Jeremy Chinn and Juston Burris.
