3 ambitious targets for Panthers WR D.J. Moore in 2020

Carolina Panthers target No. 3: Ten touchdowns
If there was one statistic that D.J. Moore could improve in next season, it is getting in the end zone more prominently. His production is up there with the very best, so if he can add extra touchdowns to his repertoire it could propel him to a completely different stratosphere.
Moore has six scores over his first two seasons in the NFL. He crossed the plain four times for the Carolina Panthers in 2019. But for a player that scored 17 touchdowns in three seasons at Maryland, this is something that could be a little better.
There is nothing to suggest that Moore cannot aim for double-figures next season. There are so many other offensive weapons that warrant attention from opposing defenses, it could free up some space for the third-year-pro despite him being the Panthers’ No. 1 receiving option.
Improving his ability to create separation in press coverage once Carolina gets to the red zone is something else that will assist in this area. Cornerbacks have the most success against Moore when they get physical at the line of scrimmage. But this is another area that should come on with another offseason to improve his physique and strength.
Everything is in position for Moore to enter superstardom in 2020. He is young, talented, and is riding on the crest of a wave after a standout 2019 campaign.
