Carolina Panthers trade target No. 4: Jarrod Wilson – Jaguars

Things are looking more uncertain at the Jacksonville Jaguars than ever. The organization traded Yannick Ngakoue to the Minnesota Vikings on Sunday, and this was swiftly followed by the release of star running back Leonard Fournette just 24 hours later.

This has left plenty of speculation regarding their intentions to go for a complete rebuild after falling from grace considerably from their AFC Championship game appearance in 2017. The Carolina Panthers might be able to take advantage of this by making a move for talented safety Jarrod Wilson.

Although the Jaguars’ defense struggled considerably in 2019, the same cannot be said for Wilson. The former Michigan Wolverine was at the top of his game throughout, giving up 28 targets from 40 receptions on his way to 79 combined tackles, 57 solo tackles, six tackles for loss, four pass deflections, and two interceptions.

This was impressive production from a player who made the most out of a prominent starting role. And Wilson could have a big future if he continues to trend on an upward curve.
