Which undrafted free agents made the biggest impression during their time with the Carolina Panthers at training camp?
This year’s training camp for the Carolina Panthers has been a real eye-opener. We have seen plenty of players come to the fore following a number of key departures this offseason. But a severely disrupted preparation period has put a real spanner in the works regarding their chances of hitting the ground running.
This could go either way for the Carolina Panthers. It might give them more emphasis on coming together as a unit from the off. But cohesion problems could be there for all to see during the first few weeks of the season.
New head coach Matt Rhule will be relying on young players with relatively little in the way of experience in 2020. Their all-defense NFL Draft was another strong indication of their intentions to go younger. And even though this might come with its fair share of growing pains initially, it should be a strong foundation from which to build a successful future.
Some players were not fortunate enough to get drafted this spring have also made a lasting impact during team drills. This has been a nice surprise for the Panthers and one that could see even more young talent improve concerning areas of depth next season.
Even if certain undrafted individuals do not make the team, it has boosted their stock considerably either way. Here are four players who didn’t hear their name called during the 2020 NFL Draft that made the biggest impression for the Panthers.
