Carolina Panthers 2020 training camp award winners

Training Camp MVP: Robby Anderson – WR
Robby Anderson arrived with the Carolina Panthers as the second-highest profile signing of the free agency period. He reunited with his former college coach Matt Rhule after signing a two-year, $20 million contract that included an $8 million signing bonus and $12 million guaranteed. And this familiarity has enabled the wide receiver to hit the ground running at camp.
Anderson has been virtually unguardable for the majority of his time on the field. This leaves the Panthers with high hopes regarding his ability to become a major contributor in 2020 and the chemistry with quarterback Teddy Bridgewater already looks to be on point.
This represents a significant opportunity for Anderson in Carolina. He is widely regarded as one of the NFL’s best deep-threat wideouts and there should be even more to come from him with a more consistent presence under center.
Pairing Anderson with D.J. Moore and Curtis Samuel gives the Panthers a potent receiver trio that could be as good as anything in the league if they reach expectations. The player has yet to reach 1,000-yards receiving during his career. But this is a realistic aim in a different and more promising environment.
Anderson was the star performer at camp. His game could reach new heights in Carolina next season and this is yet another prominent offensive weapon on a unit that is littered with playmakers.
