Myles Hartsfield – DB/RB

Myles Hartsfield is one of the real success stories of training camp. The undrafted free-agent dazzled on both sides of the ball and he is thoroughly deserving of a place on the 53-man roster.

His production during camp was a nice surprise for the Carolina Panthers. Hartsfield possesses the athleticism and versatility that become a key component during the recruitment process for the organization this offseason. But where he is used when push comes to shove remains to be seen.

The defensive back made some outstanding plays during team drills to further enhance his prospects. Hartsfield’s exemplary attitude was another thing that really came across.

The Panthers are keen to get the most out of his skill set. They gave him some reps at running back which resulted in Hartsfield gaining notable yardage and finding the end zone consistently.

This high level of performance made it hard for the Panthers’ coaching staff to leave him off the team. Hartsfield can look back on his time at camp with a great deal of pride and he should now get the opportunity to make a difference in a competitive environment.

There appears to be some uncertainty surrounding Carolina’s cornerback options. This could result in Hartsfield becoming part of the rotation as the season progresses if veteran players do not live up to expectations.
