Nigel Bradham – LB

The Carolina Panthers have a real lack of depth at linebacker. This was further evident when they trimmed their roster down to 53 players and more might be needed next season if things do not go according to plan early on.

One player that might help their cause in the short-term is Nigel Bradham. The versatile player is still on the free-agent scrapheap at this late stage and represents an intriguing option, at the very least.

Bradham appeared in 12 games for the Philadelphia Eagles in 2019 and was on the field for 70.9 percent of the team’s defensive snaps. This resulted in the former Florida State star accumulating 61 combined tackles, 39 solo tackles, two tackles for loss, five pass deflections, and a 64.6 grade from Pro Football Focus.

He has been a solid if not spectacular player during his career. The Panthers might feel they have enough with their current group and the addition of Julian Stanford is something that might be enough to keep this unit adequate in 2020.

If the coaching staff decides more is needed after the first few games. Then Bradham’s name should be high on the shortlist.
