Which three players should have made the Carolina Panthers 2020 practice squad?

The Carolina Panthers named their initial practice squad of 15. There is room for one more addition after the NFL increased the number to 16 for the upcoming season. But it remains to be seen which direction the organization will go with their final moves.

It has been a difficult time for those on the fringes in recent days. The Carolina Panthers trimmed their roster down to 53 and even had to release the likes of defensive lineman Efe Obada and fifth-round selection Kenny Robinson to make way for players of interest who became available on the waiver wire.

These decisions will play a leading role in just how the Panthers are going to get on next season. Their backs are against the wall in no uncertain terms after an offseason of unprecedented changes and it wouldn’t be a shock to see things get worse before they get better in Carolina.

Some players who were not selected for the practice squad now face a possible future without football in 2020. Certain individuals might have seen this coming during training camp, but it will be coming as a significant disappointment to others.

This is all part of the cutthroat business of the NFL. There is no room for sentiment when it comes to winning. But we picked out three players who probably should have been named to the Panthers practice squad after getting cut.
