D.J. Moore – Carolina Panthers WR

  • 7 receptions, 89 receiving yards

Big things could be in the future of D.J. Moore if he builds on a promising sophomore campaign in 2020. The wide receiver went over 1,000-yards last time out despite some inept quarterback play and more could be to come with Teddy Bridgewater under center.

Moore is an elite route-runner who can hurt the opposition anywhere on the field. The Raiders will be all-too-aware of the impact he can make on offense and will have devised their gameplan to prevent this.

The former Maryland standout is the second most important weapon on the Panthers this season. Christian McCaffrey will still command most of the attention. But if Moore can cope with extra responsibility on his shoulders, then the sky is the limit.

Moore is projected to see a lot of Trayvon Mullen in Week 1. The cornerback performed well in his rookie season after being taken in this second-round, giving up 41 receptions on 70 targets.

Mullen is expected to make significant strides in 2020. But the former Clemson sensation is going to get all he can handle off Moore, who has the chance to propel himself to superstardom with another leap forward during the upcoming campaign.

Getting in the end zone more is one of the ways that Moore can elevate his game. He might not get that against the Raiders but his stat line should still be filled with promise.
