Stat predictions for 5 Panthers players on offense in Week 1

Robby Anderson – Carolina Panthers WR
- 5 receptions, 78 receiving yards, one touchdown
Another prominent weapon available to the Carolina Panthers this season is Robby Anderson. The free-agent signing hit the ground running with a starring display at training camp and the organization will be hoping he can transition this into a competitive environment.
Anderson is widely regarded as one of the NFL’s primary deep weapons thanks to his blazing speed and ability to catch under pressure. He suffered from a lack of consistency at quarterback during his time at the New York Jets. But pairing him with Teddy Bridgewater and former college coach Matt Rhule could propel him passed the 1,000-yard receiving mark for the first time.
This represents a solid opportunity for Anderson to start as he means to go on. There is uncertainty surrounding the availability of rookie cornerback Damon Arnette and Anderson should be able to have his way with Lamarcus Joyner if the pair are matched up consistently.
Much will depend on how the Panthers’ short and intermediate passing game fares in the early going. But if Bridgewater can move the chains then it should provide plenty of space for Anderson to work in on the backend.
Anderson has a lot going for him in a different environment. The wideout signed a two-year, $20 million deal this offseason and he needs to live up to this financial commitment from the word go.
