Seth Roberts – Carolina Panthers WR

Seth Roberts looks ready to go for the Carolina Panthers in Week 1 despite missing a considerable period of camp with a concussion. This gives quarterback Teddy Bridgewater another impressive weapon in the passing game and it is unlikely there will be much focus on the wide receiver given the dangers elsewhere.

There is a to like about the skillset that Roberts brings to the Panthers. He is a big body at 6-foot-2 who is surprisingly quick for a man his size. This enables him to create separation quickly, which could be a real asset to have in the red zone.

Whether missing so much of training camp is going to have a detrimental impact on his immediate targets is another matter. There is only one football to go around and there could be five players ahead of him in terms of preferred targets.

That being said, if Roberts can make the most out of single coverage then it is going to be a big-time asset to call upon. He proved more than capable of performing well as a rotational receiver with the Baltimore Ravens last time out and if he can bring this to Carolina, it is probably all the organization is looking for at this juncture.

Roberts’ health will be something to monitor closely, especially when that first ferocious hit comes his way. But there is definitely potential where the player is concerned.
