Carolina Panthers vs. Raiders: Fantasy football outlook

Fantasy football has become a huge factor in our enjoyment of watching the NFL. There are plenty of players on the Carolina Panthers who could make a significant impact either in normal formats of PPR leagues against the Las Vegas Raiders providing their offensive line holds up to its end of the bargain.

Christian McCaffrey was the consensus No. 1 overall pick in fantasy and should get more than 100 all-purpose yards and a score. The All-Pro is coming off a historic year and although he might not secure 1,000-yards rushing and receiving this season, there is little doubt that the former first-round pick is going to put up significant numbers.

Another must-start on the Panthers is D.J. Moore. The wide receiver will face a stern test against Raiders cornerback Trayvon Mullen. But he should still get enough looks to make a big impact.

Riskier starting options could be Robby Anderson and Curtis Samuel, who both possess a nice game-changing ability. But it remains to be seen just how many targets they are going to see in Joe Brady’s dynamic scheme.

The same applies to tight end Ian Thomas, of which much is expected in 2020. Carolina’s new No. 1 option is dealing with a toe injury and he is probably best-watched during the first few weeks of the season from a fantasy perspective.

If you are looking for additional help at quarterback, then Teddy Bridgewater might be your man. He is accurate and has a wealth of weapons to utilize in the passing game to further aid his transition to a prominent starting role once again.

For the Raiders, tight end Darren Waller is a must-start in all formats and the wide receiver tandem of Henry Ruggs III and Hunter Renfrow are well worth a look due to the concerns at cornerback in Carolina.
