Which college players that might be targeted by the Carolina Panthers in 2021 saw their NFL Draft stock rise this week?
Not only was the NFL back over the weekend. But the college football campaign also turned things up a notch after a Week 1 that left fans across the country wanting more.
This is an important time of year for those looking to make their way to the next level in 2021. The Carolina Panthers will be focused on their own matters now competitive action is underway. But the scout team will be tasked with picking apart some players of interest to examine their potential at the pro level.
The Panthers made history in 2020 by becoming the first team in NFL history to use every pick on the defensive side of the ball. Each selection managed to do enough to remain part of the organization in some capacity. Although Kenny Robinson is only on the practice squad after failing to make the 53-man roster in Week 1.
Not much is expected of the Panthers this season. This was further reflected in their 34-30 loss to the Raiders at Bank of America Stadium that did come with plenty of positives. But the preseason worries surrounding their linebacker corps and cornerback group were more than evident.
They could be in line to get another high-end draft pick next spring. This might indicate a campaign littered with struggles. However, it could be a blessing in disguise at this stage of their substantial rebuild.
