3 ways the Carolina Panthers can stop Bucs’ QB Tom Brady

Make Tom Brady throw outside the numbers
Another thing for the Carolina Panthers to strongly consider when putting a gameplan together to stop Tom Brady will be arm strength. He is still more than capable of making big throws down the field. But firing the ball to receivers on the outside might be a thing of the past.
This was evident during their loss to the Saints and contributed significantly to his two interceptions. If the Panthers can protect the middle of the field and any deep threat, then it would leave Brady with no other alternative other than to look for the sidelines.
If the former All-Pro manages to make these throws consistently, then all credit to him. It will be a case of “pick your poison” for Carolina and if Brady can beat them in this manner, then so be it.
It is remarkable that Brady is still playing at such a high level at 43-years-old. But the velocity of throws is not what is used to be by any stretch of the imagination and this needs to be highlighted early and often by the Panthers’ defense.
There will be no pressure on Carolina to get anything like a positive result in this one. Their ambitions are not anything like the scale of the Bucs in 2020 and this should allow them a certain freedom to make Brady throw outside the numbers.
