Teddy Bridgewater will throw for more yards than Tom Brady

With the Tampa Bay wide receiving core banged up. The team may lean on running backs Ronald Jones II, LeSean McCoy, and Leonard Fournette to carry the load on Sunday.

If the Bucs find the same success on the ground as the Raiders did last week, Brady’s pass attempts should fall below 25. Offensive coordinator Bryon Leftwich may also call a more conservative game to limit turnovers following the quarterback’s heavy criticism in the media for two uncharacteristic interceptions.

Additionally, Carolina Panthers quarterback Teddy Bridgewater may have to carry the game through the air for two reasons.

No. 1: Christian McCaffrey was held to 68 rushing yards and 110 yards from scrimmage combined in two games against Tampa Bay in 2019. If their defense is able to neutralize the star running back this Sunday, the Panthers may have to tilt towards the passing game.

No. 2: Tampa Bay is favored to win by about ten according to most spreads across the country. If the Panthers find themselves trailing as they did against the Raiders last week, Bridgewater will be asked to throw more passes in order to play catch up. He’s only thrown for 300 yards or more six times in his career, but Sunday could easily be the seventh.
