D.J. Moore – Carolina Panthers WR

Big things are expected of D.J. Moore during the 2020 season. He might have started off a little slow against the Las Vegas Raiders. But the wide receiver has enough skills at his disposal to turn it around at the earliest possible opportunity.

The timing between Moore and quarterback Teddy Bridgewater was a little off at times in Week 1. This is to be expected when one considers the lack of time available to develop chemistry during the preparation period. But this is definitely something that will improve with time and the Carolina Panthers will be counting on their star wideout to deliver the goods at the Buccaneers on Sunday.

The former first-round pick was targeted nine times by Bridgewater, bringing in four receptions for 54 yards and a 62.5 grade from Pro Football Focus. Moore has a good opportunity to make a serious difference against a Bucs’ secondary that comes into the game with more questions than answers following a lackluster showing at the Saints last time out.

Moore has the potential to enter the elite discussion this season after going over 1,000-yards receiving for the first time in his career in 2019. This might not have been the start he was expecting. But the Bucs should ignore him at their peril.
