Here are our Week 2 awards from the Carolina Panthers’ perspective following their defeat at the Tampa Bay Buccaneers at Raymond James Stadium.

The dust is now beginning to settle on the Carolina Panthers’ loss at the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

It proved to be another frustrating afternoon for the Carolina Panthers in their pursuit of getting a notable first win of the campaign at Raymond James Stadium. They seem to be developing a habit for shooting themselves in the foot and this is a problem that needs to be resolved at the earliest possible opportunity.

Carolina’s 31-17 defeat was riddled with individual errors. But it’s easy to forget that this is just the second time this new-look roster has been on the field together.

Some perspective needs to be shown by loyal sections of the Panthers’ fanbase who were more than vocal in their displeasure on social media both during and after the game. They are going to get the benefit of the doubt to a certain extent. But this is not going to continue for much longer.

New head coach Matt Rhule and other staff members need to come up with better solutions during the preparation period. Things are going to be tough enough for the Panthers this season without getting off to the sort of start that cost them in a big way against a Bucs’ team who looked solid if not spectacular throughout the contest.

It is not easy being a Panthers’ fan at the moment. This is a team that has lost their identity in a bid to get back into postseason contention and coping with such change is something that is going to take some getting used to.

In a new feature on Cat Crave, we picked out certain individuals who stood out, for good or bad, in our Week 2 awards.
