Which members of the Carolina Panthers underperformed during their Week 2 loss at the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on Sunday?

Attention will shortly turn a crucial Week 3 clash at the Los Angeles Chargers, where the Carolina Panthers are aiming to secure an elusive first victory of the season.

Things haven’t exactly gone according to plan for the Carolina Panthers during the opening fortnight of the 2020 season. New head coach Matt Rhule has endured a baptism of fire so far and things are not going to get easier without the presence of star running back Christian McCaffrey in the backfield.

The All-Pro will be out for around 4-6 weeks with an ankle injury sustained when the Panthers looked like they might get back into the game during the second half. This is all part of the NFL’s brutal nature and Carolina will need to make adjustments in order to remain competitive in the absence of their most productive offensive player.

Expectations were low for the Panthers during the first year of their rebuild. But they have now lost ten straight games going back to last season and the longer this winless run continues, the more doubts will start creeping in regarding what direction the organization is actually going in following substantial changes during the preparation period.

Some players came away from their Week 2 encounter at the Buccaneers knowing they should have contributed more. Let’s take a look at four such individuals who underperformed during the clash.
